Training

Wood Group Integrity Managment recognises that in today’s world it is increasingly important for engineers and operators alike to have a basic knowledge of materials, welding, corrosion, and corrosion mitigation techniques as well as a knowledge of risk, integrity management and HSE.  For asset owners it is important that their maintenance and engineering staff are able to recognise potential problems quickly, so that costly repairs or failures are avoided.  Design engineers can get so caught up in the structural detail that they  easily overlook  the relatively simple causes of corrosion or material failures once in service, e.g. structural member orientation, access for fabrication, welding, coating or inspection, thermal gradients, drainage, etc.

Specific Training Requirements

It is recognised that many organisations require training that is specially designed for their needs, for example:

Introducing personnel to a variety of materials related subjects.
Retaining and / or professional development of existing staff
Advanced courses designed to increase the depth and breadth of technical expertise with the goal of developing a multi-skilled workforce
