London celebrated the WGIM 10th Birthday in April. The team got together to celebrate in true WGIM style with a team meeting followed by a river cruise up the Thames.
We are now BIGGER and have a well deserved reputation in oil/gas energy business for materials and integrity management consultancy. A trustful, competitive and unique WGIM Brand that is From East to West, North to South the clients Number 1 Choice.
At the beginning of April 2011 London reach 25 personnel for the first time following along with the growth seen in our sister offices in Aberdeen, Perth and Houston. A celebration cake was commissioned so that all within the Wood Group Kenny (WGK) companies could celebrate. The picture below shows Steve Wayman Wood Group Kenny CEO cutting the cake.

On the 20th April 2010 WGIM London celebrated its 10th Birthday with a staff activity afternoon.
The afternoon programme began with a meeting which was lead by London Business Manager, George Winning. George gave a short presentation, reviewing WGIM business over the last 10 years and recent results for 2011. A competition was held for the WGIM London staff to offer their opinions and ideas on how to improve WGIM intranet and also ideas for the global innovations process. Because it was just before Easter, Guess the prize?, a couple of very nice Easter eggs.
As members of the WGIM London team , we are proud to see the team grow in such a short time indicating an outstanding achievement for an historically quiet office. The team was 9 in 2009, and now stands at the 25 mentioned earlier. London WGIM annual budget exceeds £3.5 million, and is part of an ever expanding WGIM UK team now in excess of 120. The team consists of a combination of experienced, industry renowned engineers and young highly educated, engineer staff carefully selected from world wide universities. The combination allows us to develop engineering capability for the short and long term leading to the same growth in the future.
Following the presentation we left Staines on a boat up the Thames toward Windsor. Refreshments and a barbeque were provided on the leisurely two and half hour cruise. We were joined by JPK business managers, Guy Bell, Peter Metcalf and Colin McKinnon along with Stephen Peet, WGIM UK Operations Director, Stephen Hamilton, MsiKenny staff consultant, JP Kenny Aberdeen HR Manager Jane Middleton and WGIM UK HR support Emma Taylor to celebrate the day. The weather was excellent and the whole group enjoyed the sunshine on the Thames as WGIM celebrated it's 10th year in business.....
